Partner Referral
User Manual

For E2 Partners, Influencers, Sales staff and Administrators.

Version 1.1 · Last updated: 23 September 2026

This is the live manual for the E2 fixed-commission referral pilot. Bookmark this page for future updates. Printed copies may become outdated.

1. Sign in to the right page

Partners: open Partner Login, also available in the Showroom navigation. Use the dedicated email issued by E2 and the password you set during onboarding. Enter the full email address, including any +alias.

Customers: no login is needed to browse vehicles or save a referral enquiry. Optional customer account features use the customer sign-in page.

E2 staff: sign in through E2 Workspace, then open Partners & Referrals. A Partner account does not grant staff inventory access.

  1. Accept the account invitation sent by E2.
  2. Set your own password. If the invitation opens the staff page without password setup, open Set your password in the same browser. An active invitation session is required.
  3. E2 Admin attaches your confirmed account to your Partner membership and agreed commission.
  4. Sign in to the Partner page. Your display name, referral code and commission should appear.

Use Forgot password? on the Partner page if needed. Never send your password or email verification link to a customer or another Partner.

2. Share your referral links

Share the entire Showroom

  1. Sign in to the Partner page.
  2. Find Share the showroom.
  3. Click Copy showroom link.
  4. Paste the complete link into your own message or social post.

Customers can browse and filter the stock, then choose any car. The referral code travels with the vehicle links, including links opened in a new tab.

Share one vehicle

  1. Under Share a car, choose a published, available vehicle.
  2. Click Copy link.
  3. Send the complete link to your customer.

Keep the ref=YOURCODE part of the URL. Sharing a plain Showroom or car URL may lose attribution for a new visitor. Share the URL generated in your Partner dashboard.

Share E2’s published vehicle price. Private broker markups are not supported by this program.

3. What the customer does

  1. Open your referral link and choose a vehicle.
  2. On an active referred vehicle page, check the Referred by [Partner name] message.
  3. Choose WhatsApp, Request a call, or Book Viewing. For a viewing, select a preferred date and time.
  4. Enter a name and phone number, read the contact notice, and give consent.
  5. Click Save enquiry. Wait for the saved confirmation and enquiry reference.
  6. For WhatsApp, click Continue in WhatsApp and send the prepared message yourself.

Saving creates the referral enquiry; it does not send a WhatsApp message, confirm a viewing, or approve a loan. E2 will confirm availability and appointment details.

For referred Showroom visitors, the general viewing and trade-in buttons lead to vehicle selection first. Calling or emailing directly does not automatically create a referral record. Save the vehicle enquiry first if you want it recorded.

If saving fails, retry in the same form. Do not assume the enquiry was recorded until the saved confirmation appears. A direct-contact fallback is not confirmation of a saved referral.

4. Understand your dashboard

ItemMeaning
Recorded visitsDeduplicated vehicle-page visits, per browser, vehicle and day. Showroom browsing alone is not counted. This is not a count of unique people.
Referred customersCustomer leads attributed to your Partner account after a successful identified enquiry.
Paid commissionThe total marked Paid by E2 Admin. The website does not transfer money.
Your referralsYour customers’ reference, creation date, stage and commission status. Phone numbers and loan documents remain private with E2.

Refresh the page to see the latest saved progress. A click alone is not a confirmed referral or commission.

5. Sales and Admin workflow

  1. Open Partners & Referrals with your existing staff account.
  2. Locate the saved enquiry. Match its receipt/reference to the customer’s WhatsApp message when available.
  3. Admin assigns a salesperson. Sales staff can work only on leads assigned to them.
  4. Contact the customer and confirm their details before advancing the stage.
  5. Update the vehicle or salesperson as appropriate. Changing these does not change the locked referrer.
  6. Advance stages only when the corresponding real event occurs.
StageWhen to use it
New LeadThe identified enquiry has been saved.
ViewedThe customer has viewed the vehicle.
Loan SubmittedThe actual loan application has been submitted.
ApprovedThe loan approval has been confirmed.
DeliveredThe vehicle has actually been delivered; Admin confirms this step.

Stages move forward one step at a time. Referral stages are manually maintained and do not replace the existing loan workspace. Refresh before retrying if the system says a record has changed.

The pilot does not yet provide a separate cash-purchase path, cancellation workflow or backward stage correction. Ask Admin to resolve cases outside this sequence; do not enter a false loan or delivery event.

Staff customer intake: choose a vehicle later

In Customer intake, select a vehicle or leave Not decided yet, then create/copy the invitation link. Customers can submit their details and documents first. Preferred deposit and tenure are still requested as preferences.

The assigned Salesman or Super Admin opens the received application, selects an available vehicle and clicks Save vehicle. Confirm the car and financing preferences with the customer. Their submitted answers stay unchanged, and vehicle selection is recorded in the history. A vehicle must be selected before handover to Office Admin.

This applies to Staff intake invitations. Partner referral customers still choose a vehicle before saving their referral enquiry.

6. Commission approval and payment

The agreed fixed amount is saved when a new lead is first attributed. Later rate changes apply to future leads, not existing agreements.

  1. Delivered: Admin confirms actual delivery. The system creates one Pending commission for the lead.
  2. Approved: Admin reviews and approves the commission.
  3. Paid: after payment is actually completed outside the website, Admin records the payment reference and marks it Paid.

Sales staff cannot confirm delivery, approve commission or mark it Paid. The website records payment status; it is not a wallet or a bank-transfer service.

7. Troubleshooting

“This account has no inventory access”

You may be on the staff login page. Open Partner Login with your dedicated Partner email.

“Invalid login credentials”

Check the full email and password. Do not omit a +alias. If needed, request a reset from the Partner page.

“Partner access unavailable”

Ask E2 Admin to check that the email is confirmed and attached to an active Partner membership. Staff and customer accounts cannot be reused as dedicated Partner accounts.

No referral name on a vehicle page

Open the full link generated by the Partner dashboard. If the link is inactive, ask E2 Admin to check the account. Do not promise a commission based only on a visit.

“Enquiry saved” but no WhatsApp message

The customer still needs to select Continue in WhatsApp and send the message. The website does not send it automatically.

New features are missing

Refresh the page. If an old page remains, close the old tab and open the current link again.

A lead belongs to another Partner

The first identified enquiry for the normalized phone number wins. A later referral link does not overwrite it. Ask Admin to investigate disputes rather than registering a false phone number.

Need help?

Contact E2 at sales@e2auto.my. Include the enquiry reference and a description of the issue. Never include a password, verification link or customer loan documents in a public message.
